On the day he intends to ending his life, he faces an extraordinary reckoning laying bare his anger, grief, and the deep-seated resentment toward himself, the world, and the God he serves.

In life, James clashed with his father; in death, he embodies the heroism Peter lacks. His legacy forces Peter to confront his failures, serving as both a symbol of courage and a reminder of the son Peter can never truly know.

 Our goal is $151,888 to complete principal filmmaking and post-production related costs.

The Breakdown:

• Production Costs: $120,888 location fees, cast and crew salaries, food, and equipment rental

• Post-Production: $16,000 for editing, coloring, scoring, and licensing.

• Marketing and Distribution: $15,000 for marketing, and promotional materials.

Anthony Robert Grasso is a seasoned actor/director and master acting instructor who has dedicated over thirty years to working and teaching in an industry that holds his heart. He runs the ARG Acting Studio In NYC. 
An indie award-winning film actor (Sundance, Hoboken International Film Festival, Genre Film Festival in Japan, Atlanta Great Southern Short Festival, and LIIFE ) He has also enjoyed a vibrant career in television, appearing in notable recurring roles on Marvel's Jessica Jones and Gotham as well as a co-starring on Blue Bloods, Person Of Interest, Law & Order, NYPD Blue, and Sex & The City, to name a few.

Jackson Manning is a versatile actor and singer currently studying in the Musical Theater Program at Penn State University. With extensive stage experience performing Off-Broadway, and on regional stages, he has earned recognition for his dynamic performances and commanding presence in both classic and contemporary productions. Expanding his craft into film, Jackson has starred in acclaimed short films including This House Has People in It and Unedited Footage of a Bear, where he brought depth and nuance to leading roles. Bridging the worlds of theater and screen, he continues to build a career defined by versatility, dedication, and artistry.

JR Carter is a seasoned New York City detective turned actor, producer, and director with a career spanning film, television, and independent projects. With over 38 credits to his name, he has showcased his versatility in productions such as Vendetta Games (2017), The Last Vendetta, Alternatino with Arturo Castro, It’s Bruno!, and Bored to Death. His work has earned recognition on the festival circuit, including a Global Film Festival Award win (2019) for Best Ensemble Cast in Vendetta Games. Dedicated both on screen and off, Carter continues to bring depth, authenticity, and intensity to every project.

Chaise Cortes De Vargas is a filmmaker, producer, and actress making her directorial debut with Ordinary Heroes: The Crosses We Bear. With a background as a news producer, field producer, and assignment editor in the NY–NJ–PA tri-state area, she brings journalistic grit and authenticity to cinema. A recipient of the Communicator Award (2024) and Telly Award (2025) for social advocacy reporting during the SAG-AFTRA/WGA strikes, Chaise now leads Thematic Shift, which is pioneering an immersive, community-driven storytelling experience for all members.

Tommy Bayiokos
(Micheal Egan)

Tommy Bayiokos is a Brooklyn-born actor, model, drummer, and percussionist whose eclectic career spans music, film, television, theater, and modeling. A longtime student of the Drummers Collective and acclaimed acting coaches, he performed as a percussionist with his late friend, Grammy-nominated songstress Laura Branigan, and played drums for the Miss America pageant from 1998 to 2001. His acting credits include Blue Bloods, Madoff, the Oscar-winning series Fosse/Verdon, and films such as The Taking of Pelham 123, Blood Ties, and Act of Vengeance. A recurring cast member in the Off-Broadway hit Murdered by the Mob, Tommy has also appeared in national commercials, French Vogue, and as the face of Exuviance Men’s Skincare. A Black Belt martial artist and “Martial Arts Hall of Honors” inductee, his diverse talents have been featured in major outlets including The New York Times, People Magazine, and FOX News.

Diane Harrington is a multi-talented actor, producer, and writer with over three decades in the entertainment industry. Her debut short film, Crumb Cake—which she wrote, starred in, and produced, and which was adapted from her own published play For My Daughter—has screened at numerous festivals and garnered nominations for Best Actor and Best Screenplay. Her credits span film and television, including ensemble work in Game Night, along with roles in Evil Insight, Forgive Me Father, and TV performances on 100 Centre Street, All My Children, and One Life to Live. A creative force both in front of and behind the camera, Diane continues to develop compelling, character-driven stories across multiple platforms.

Carlotta Parodi is an internationally acclaimed Italian actress and filmmaker whose work has garnered recognition across Europe and the United States. Best known for her award-winning performance in Sabbie Mobili (2022), she has received multiple international honors, including Best Actress awards at the Cannes Film Awards, Montecatini International Short Film Festival, New Jersey Film Awards, Stockholm City Film Festival, Matera International Film Festival, and more than a dozen other prestigious festivals. In addition to acting, she has been nominated for Premio Solinas (2025) Best Screenplay and Miglior Documentario per il Cinema (2026) for Redención, underscoring her talent as both a performer and storyteller. With credits spanning film, television, and theater, Carlotta continues to captivate audiences worldwide with her versatility, artistry, and international perspective.

Currently starring as Margery Williams in Ordinary Heroes: The Crosses We Bear, she also appears in the upcoming Road to L’Étape du Tour, and past film roles include appearances in Bastion and the short Lost Sight. On television, Cobie has taken on dynamic roles—ranging from Lieutenant Colonel Yulin in The Good Fight to recurring and guest characters in series like Deviant in Blue, House Haunters, and the TV movie Vessel. Her range extends to commercials, industrials, modeling, and hosting, showcasing her adaptability and presence across multiple media formats.

(Bishop Thomas King) 

Richard Kent Green — known to colleagues as “RKG” — is a seasoned actor whose career spans film, television, commercials, and theatre. Over the decades, he has embodied offbeat geniuses, quirky outsiders, hopeless romantics, and tough hardasses — characters audiences find themselves unexpectedly rooting for. From portraying figures like Einstein, Salvador Dalí, and Lawrence Ferlinghetti to roles suddenly written in with him in mind, RKG has built a reputation as the actor to call when you don’t know who you need. Raised in Indiana, Virginia, Tennessee, and Fire Island, he began performing at ten and went on to tour nationally with Musicana Supper Clubs and The Repertory Theater of America before returning to New York. There, he thrived in cabaret (Once Upon a Stove, Paper Moon) and indie theater, becoming a company artist, director, and producer with the WorkShop Theater Company. A lifelong storyteller, RKG continues to bring depth, humor, and heart to every project he joins.

June Marie Davis's talents span writing, producing, acting, and directing. Of Puerto Rican and African American heritage, her diverse background deeply informs her storytelling, which has been showcased in acclaimed works such as Trapped, Before They Vanish, The Telling, and Beauty’s Keeper. After earning her degree in Film Studies from Brooklyn College and a production certification from the New York Film Academy, she made the bold decision to leave her 9-to-5 career to fully pursue the arts — a choice that propelled her into becoming a celebrated creator. June Marie is the mind behind the popular comedy web series The GO TO, which earned her the B Hilarious Award at the B Free Awards in both 2023 and 2025, marking her as a consecutive category winner. Her theatrical debut, The Pub, a heartfelt tribute to her late grandmother, was nominated for Best Production at the New York Theater Festival (2024). With her second season of The GO TO in development, June Marie continues to establish herself as a dynamic force in film, theater, and digital media.

Currently serving as a still photographer on Ordinary Heroes: The Crosses We Bear and as a stage manager for the TV series Olga Dies Dreaming, he has also appeared on screen in films such as The Home (2025), Day of the Fight (2023), and Master (2022), and in television series including Only Murders in the Building, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, WeCrashed, And Just Like That..., Dr. Death, and Godfather of Harlem. Known for his versatility both in front of and behind the camera, Rich brings creativity and technical precision to every project he touches.

Quann Daesean Boyd is a multi-talented actor and professional runway model currently starring as Sean Del Valle in Ordinary Heroes: The Crosses We Bear. With screen credits including Vex (2021), Betrayal of a Nation (2021), and appearances on TV series like Pause with Sam Jay, Quann brings authenticity and presence to each role. Off-camera, he commands the runway at New York Fashion Week and beyond, modeling for top designers while developing his own ready-to-wear fashion line for men and women. With his dual strengths in performance and fashion, Quann continues to expand his creative footprint across both industries.
